It was getting people to trust it.
We got pushback on a new Kinetic Garment construct for specific esports gear.
The pattern team got it.
Development didn’t.
Their concerns were practical:
Fabric wastage.
Sewing time.
So I went down and sat with them.
Not to sell the idea.
To listen.
We took it offline and worked directly with the supplier.
We came back with proof.
Sewing time was actually faster.
Wastage was as good as a T-shirt.
We made a few tweaks and it got even better.
Then we went back to the team.
This time, they were fully on board.
Day-to-day innovation is getting the people who have to make it believe in it too.
You don’t overcome technical pushback by pushing harder.
You overcome it by listening, testing, and building trust.
