AI can make visualizing an idea faster.

But the problem hasn’t changed.

Non-creatives still struggle to see what designers see.

And when they can’t see it, they can’t challenge it.

That’s why I became fascinated with 3D.

At PUMA, we’d get pushback because people couldn’t visualize innovation from our sketches.

Then I discovered how FIFA used 3D models.

I wondered:

Could we bring that thinking into product design?

That took me down the CLO 3D route in 2010.

We built our neutral prototypes in 3D.

Then dressed them for different business units.

Suddenly, people could see the technology in their world.

And we could find blind spots before they became expensive production problems.

That’s what still stands with AI:

The technology will keep changing.

But making the invisible visible will always have value.
